Pedal to Provide announces 2025 Stroll & Roll Event to Help Fight Food Insecurity in Detroit
4/10/2025
DETROIT, Mich. - Pedal to Provide, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity in metro Detroit is excited to announce the 2023 Stroll & Roll event, taking place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Hines Park in Wayne County, Michigan.
The Stroll & Roll is a non-competitive event that allows participants to choose between a 2, 6, or 12-mile walk, run, bike, or rollerblade through Hines Park. This year’s event will raise funds to directly benefit NOAH at Central, a community hub offering resources, support, and services to empower individuals and families in need in Detroit, Michigan.
In 2024, Pedal to Provide raised $8,300 to help end food insecurity, and aims to surpass this amount in 2025 with the help of our Stroll & Roll participants and sponsors. Participants raise funds from collecting pledges and donations.
“Stroll & Roll encourages healthy lifestyles and promotes the joy of giving back”, said Ed Gaines, Executive Director of Pedal to Provide. “We've seen firsthand how much fun it can be to raise money while participating in activities like cycling, running, and walking, and we're thrilled that our supporters share our passion for fighting food insecurity. We hope to surpass last year's fundraising efforts and make an even greater impact on our community.”
Participants should register in advance to participate at www.PedalToProvide.org. Registration is $35 and includes a t-shirt, raffle prize entry and food.
Event check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and the event will start at 9:30 a.m. The parking and check-in address is Nankin Mills Park, shelter #1, 33275 Hines Drive in Westland, Michigan.
